Man it's freakin HOT in my office right now... anyways this past month has been very eventful... in many different ways however... In particular is what's happened with my car.
I've had my car in Boston since January. It's been a fairly easy experience and nothing's really gone wrong except i got one parking ticket for street cleaning cause i thought it was suppose to start in April... turns out main "arteries" of Boston are "cleaned" all year round... cept for the fact that i had been parking on Mass Ave for a good month when i got the ticket... makes no sense... /sigh. The next incident was when i got pulled over... in April for going through 2 yellow/red lights. I admit it was stupid of me since i literally SAW the cop at the first light... then he pulled up behind me... then i casually went through the 2nd light... but both were yellow to red!!! (though the first one i sorta tried to stop... but ended up in the middle of the road so i quickly accelerated forward [in front of the cop car] in order to avoid being a traffic hazard! legit right?) Anyways he pulled me over after the 2nd light and i ended up not getting a ticket (thank goodness!). He seemed more interested as to why my passengers were looking scared haha... I told him we were going to work etc etc. And he just gave me a warning to "take it slower next time"... which i wasn't even speeding to be honest... so now i'm conscious about it whenever i get to a green light, but i get the feeling in the back of my head that it's going to turn yellow and i'll get pulled over lol!!!... but i still run through yellow lights... oh well, everyone does it!.
Next incident was middle of April where my car got broken into because i forgot to clean my windshield of the mark a GPS (which wasn't in the car...) makes when it's attached to your window... so my fault /sigh... i had gotten into the parking space around 430 AM from a long night out... then passed out and woke up at 2pm where i soon found out after (around 4 PM) that my car was MISSING from where i parked it... epic fail... through the whole hassle it had gotten towed by a company in BRIGHTON, which makes no sense as well since there's a towing lot 1 mile away from my apt... paid a 120$ towing fee, then 100$ for the repair job on the window. Nothing was stolen except a few dollars i had in the car and alot of stuff was shuffled around... that's a good thing... There were some complications with it being fixed but in the end i got it fixed the monday after it happened... so like 2 days with the car without a passenger window (cept the plastic over it, which is still a hassle/annoying). To top that incident off, the next day after i got it fixed i got a parking ticket near my apartment for being in a "resident parking only zone", which is BS since i've parked there SOO many times and haven't gotten a ticket... so now i'm even more careful as to where i park... such a hassle to search around though...
Fast forward to TODAY... i woke up LATE (645 vs 610) and rushed to get ready... no shower... just changed and left... on my way to work i was driving and some lady pulls in front of me from my left and then proceeds to make a right turn... but does it O-SO-VERY slowly... i end up trying to go around her left, but she like almost makes a complete freakin STOP before turning... freaking RIDIC... i end up hitting her in the back with my front right corner of my car... pull over the side a little and she says she won't report anything since her car is barely touched... and what happened to my car?? well it's really not that bad, but there's a small dent in my fender... plus the cover for my blinker light is gone, but the light still works... I guess it coulda been worse?? but i also could have avoided having it happen... if i only was patient enough and possibly more awake... ughh MAJOR SIGH!!! one of the things i told myself not to do in boston with my car was to get into an "Accident" and even though nothing major happened, just like a little love tap that broke my signal cover and a little dent... it still frustrates me... I'm glad she was a nice lady though... i still exchanged information even though i'm the one at fault and she said it wasn't really necessary... hopefully she doesn't turn it around on me and report it! (but she was really nice) she even offered to let me call her to go get a good repair place she knew of that serviced volvos, which she also had. Anyways... hopefully things don't get worse in these next 2 months i have the car in Boston...
Sooo total costs for having my car in Boston??
+40$ parking ticket
+120$ Towing
+100$ repair job
+15$ stolen from car
+40$ resident parking ticket
+25$ front signal covering
+time spent dealing with car ordeals 0$
---------------------
-4 months of "private" parking - around 400$ -> 600$ total when july comes around
-time convenience for having my car close to my apartment (relative to where i park on the street) AND travelling around Boston to wherever - 0$ but hey time is money!
kinda even on both sides... but that's sorta bad haha...
/end rant

Relationship Mixer 3 + Mouse hunt
Closure - Defined as :: To attempt to 'move on' following the termination of a relationship with another individual.
Translation :: To tie up loose ends in a relationship that may not have been cleared up, hence "Closure".
Closure can be a rare thing in our lives. It is only necessary when WE are cut off in a relationship. Where WE encounter the unexpected and things just end. It's complicated to realize and usually people don't know they need closure until later in their "recovery". It isn't always needed to get over someone in your past however, but it will most likely leave you wondering those "what ifs" of your interactions with the other person. It's all relative on how the relationship ended actually, some relationships end in a way where there isn't a NEED for closure, but it's one of those "nice" things to have before ending that chapter in your life.
Personally in my last (major) relationship my "recovery" process was delayed by the fact that i had no closure what-so-ever and, given that i don't think i even got any to this day, it merely prolonged my struggle with dealing with a "big break up". There were alot of "special" circumstances surrounding the relationship. One of those major circumstances being it being a Long-distance relationship (LDR). When serious LDR's come to an end i feel it's very hard to do anything about! (This also applies to non LDRs!!!) You can't really confront the issue face-to-face since you can't see the other person physically (you don't see your ex too often if it's a LDR, unless you're in high school or something i guess?). So instead you spend a lot of the time dancing around the issue and attempting to get your mind off of it by taking up other hobbies etc, but when it comes down to it you end up thinking about your ex here and there. Granted it's different with EVERYONE i'm sure. In our society there are people who go through boyfriend's and girlfriend's like water and then there are those who are quite the opposite. With that in mind even those who have a lot of "significant others" run into relationships where they need closure. Ultimately most people do not actually follow through with having a "closing talk" with their ex. Either because it's unneeded or they're not given the opportunity. The problem in this all is that one person feels that there is no need for closure and they sort of *look the other way* if the other person in the relationship needed some sort of closure and in the end nothing happens.
Sure we can all toughen up through it all and just "move on", but i believe, as a instinct, we all sit down and want to know those 'what if' moments in our lives.
Random :: So this past week the discovery of a mouse in my apartment came to my attention. How? I left a couple Lindor Truffles on my desk and let's just say Carlton (named mouse) got to them overnight. Very scary too considering it was literally RIGHT next to my head when i was sleep!!! O= So my initial solution was to clean my room and hide all my food in a sturdy box. This initially didn't work since i'm sure Carlton told his friends and they visited my room to see if there was any free food as delicious like previously served Lindor Truffles lying around. Next i researched all the "best" ways of getting rid of mice. Among the popular traps and poisons i came across a nice solution that is sort of like a win-win solution! What's this you think? Peppermint essence oil! Yes the pleasant smell of Christmas apparently deters mice from hanging around your place. Granted it has to be a peppermint oil that DOES NOT have sugar alcohol (duh) and is usually fairly strong. The type of peppermint oil i picked up recently to use has actually worked (i think) in keeping Carlton from coming back into my room. Even though i'm very wary at night when i'm falling asleep to the slightest noises to make sure Carlton isn't just trying to trick me. Nevertheless i don't see anymore mice poop (which they poop A LOT) thus i believe it has worked. Then on top of that there's a slight scent of peppermint in my apartment whenever i come in the front door (win!). I don't think i got a full strength peppermint oil and i'm going to find some more today (more concentrated)!!
