Justice will be served!

This ticket was issued where there is NO residential parking-only sign. If you are familiar with the area there are residential-only signs but only in the inner drive-thru's of the Chester Park community. I was parked away from these signs and on the main part of Massachusetts Avenue, of which the signs do not indicate resident only parking. (In front of 580 Mass. Ave.)

Thank you for your consideration in this appeal.
I hate the City of Boston just for cases like this where i was NOT parked in residential parking... such bull crap... i've been parking in that area for the LAST SIX MONTHS.... and i wasn't given a ticket then??? WTF... so stupid... honestly... they think they can make up rules on the spot and get their ticket quota up? yeah right. i know what i can or can't do. even my realtor told me i could park where i parked since he lived in the area for a year with no resident sticker (for reference my realtor was a really nice guy, gave us a break on the fee, gave us pointers, etc, awesome guy). Least to say i'm glad to be getting rid of my car (returning it home to jersey) because of stupid little things like this, but at the sametime I'm going to miss having the freedom of going wherever i want pretty much... relying on MBTA makes going places take up more time... oh well.

BLAH - I KNOW YOU HATE ME CITY OF BOSTON..........

/end rant

PS - i saw someone with the Three Wolves T-shirt from my previous post..... hahhaahahahahahaahahahaha.....

Informalities...

Being informal has been slowly infused into our generation slowly and slowly... first it was AIM/MSN/YIM/ICQ/whatever other instant messaging program... then it was cell phone texting... then it was wall to wall posts on facebook... and of course along with that came facebook CHAT... Everyone has their own views on such types of communication... it's either you love it or hate it... and that's just life.

With these various ways of informal communication comes the pros and cons of each... the pros being what makes it more convenient for you... and the cons being the frustration that each brings into our lives...

AIM is where it all started... and dont get me wrong i still use aim nowadays but definitely not as often as i did say 3-5 years ago.... the possible pros of aim/any instant messanger is that you talk to multiple people at once about various different things... duh right? it also shows your availability to others on aim... that you're available to talk to instead of it being an unknown thing all the time. Also you can do other things... like hw and still talk to people at the sametime! it's crazy... and distracting at times... but nice to have someone to talk to here and there when you wanna take a break.... now the cons of aim are that it's informal (duh) to put it plainly... but with the ability to be so distracted on aim with hw or talking to multiple people brings up the issue that whoever is talking isn't truly fully into the conversation... and isn't that what conversation is all about? having 1 on 1 interaction with someone should be significant... even if it's talking about something ridiculous or small talk... my experience with aim has been all over the place... from really short conversations with people i dont wanna talk to (another con) to long drawn out conversations with my friends. and i do like the flexibility of it all... as informal as it is... sometimes it's just what i need... where i can take my time to respond to certain things or get other things done and still catchup with a friend. One final frustration about aim could be delayed responses when you really need/want a fast paced conversation to happen on aim... cause come on... they're fun! or you might just need to know something asap... and the person on the other end doesn't realize this. I'm sure there are little things here and there about instant messaging that we love and hate... too many to name!

Then there's texting... a very controversial way of communication... almost anything can happen via texting... it's direct to a person... but not at the sametime... sometimes they dont have their cellphone on them... and sometimes they see the text and decide not to respond... but you as the texter... never know! everyone's different when it comes to texting as well... and granted i know not everyone has unlimited texting... but when it comes down to it almost everyone has a significant texting plan... (prolly around 80%) personally i'm an avid texter... when the times calls for it that is... i can dish out full length messages very quickly and thus it is slightly efficient way of communication for me... to get a message out to someone and then be on my way! my family knows that texting is huge... so we have a family plan that's unlimited texting with 700 shared minutes... and then of course unlimited night and weekends... this works out perfectly! the shared 700 minutes are simple for those out of Verizon network people that we call occasionally since the IN network is free always... anyways texting is a very convenient way of communication for the informal type that is needed sometimes... of course it's always more convenient to just call someone and dish about 5 full text messages in like 20 seconds... lol... it's annoying sometimes that it could just be that... but i guess the thing around text messaging is is that it's over a period of time so yes there's more time to think of small responses and then of course if you're doing something important you can respond here and there... or just for texting during class/when you're bored... either way texting has become a part of our lives that just works... and as much as i hate having that mystery of whether or not someone is going to respond... i still use it... I will admit i dont respond to texts sometimes... but it's usually not on purpose and will usually follow up with the person if i sorta just stop a "conversation" going on via texting... and so i guess it's hypocritical to find it annoying that sometimes people dont respond back to me!... oh well... texting... it's just life.

Now facebook wall to walls are probably the worst... it's like... not even close to direct as a text... and it takes hours on end to get a message to someone (for them to actually read)... though i guess that's one of the pros of facebook... to be really really indirect and informal about communication... then i suppose facebook chat is their attempt to eliminate wall to wall conversations... like posting wall to wall every minute... like what's the point? to show the world you can have a conversation on facebook that everyone can read? ehh something like that haha... so basically facebook is like emailing... messaging over time since you dont have "time" to actually talk to a person face to face (distance) or on the phone (both people are on different time schedules)

In conclusion, these few informalities of our lives come natural to us, some more than others granted, but in the end all these ways of "communication" are used for whatever means... and as sad as it is -it's accepted!

I know i said i'd update you on my semester and stuff... but uhh last night i decided to write about this and continued/finished today.

I'll update on the other stuff soon!

Turning the page...

It's funny how life can turn in a new direction within a week. First my earbuds which i have loved and cherished failed hard at the beginning of this week... first my right earbud cut out... so i dealt with one ear for the whole week.. until friday where the 2nd ear started to cut in and out... it made me very sad.... so tonight i got these new ones, the cheapest ones i could find of course, and they're christmas colors xDD... my friends picked it out for me sorta... it was only after i purchased them that they suggested the christmas colored ones not just to be in the holiday season... but to make me look more asian hahaha good stuff... so that's the one thing that went bad this week and that i have made good!

The other things that have gone on this week... hmm let's see... there's been alot... one in particular is the fact i had an interview this weekend! It was on thursdayyy and it was veryyyy cold =( I went to downtown in full blown suit and tie... and if you're around boston you know it's reallly coooold! The interview itself went fairly well i think... i'll find out before thanksgiving... so when/if i do you'll definitely know on here hehehe... that'll make my life a lot better if i do get the job... otherwise it'll be just more stress added to my already stressful life... I've been traveling around alot to say the least... i've ventured to Braintree back to the Allston area... and then back to Newbury in one night... then back to Allston.. and back to NEU... crazy stuff that was just one of the nights recently... good times all around... i dont mind traveling, but it definitely consumes alot of your time... I was barely in my room this week... just to sleep and shower and all that jazz... but i suppose it's a good thing that i'm constantly on the move... but in another sense it doesn't give me the downtime i need/want to just relax and take in everything that's going in my life...

Right now i'm saddened by a number of things... For one, it's cold outside... 2nd, I have a bunch of work to do for monday since i'm going home monday night... i need to hand in stuff that would be due tuesday etc.... so tomorrow's going to be a busy day, with church, studying, and homework... then the stress of waiting on hearing back from the job i interviewed has been on my mind... granted that there are only 4 other people that interviewed... and 2 positions... gives me good odds... but i dunno... i guess i have to put faith in God to show me where i'm going with everything in my life right now...

On another note.... maybe it's Irony or just my luck... but i got cancelled on TWICE recently... i do not particularly like when things happen like that... i suppose i understand when there's a legit excuse... but in the event that there is a wavy excuse... i just feel like i'm being seen as the one who they can just move around... then i'm here on my end moving around my schedule FOR them... but either way it was fine that plans fell through... my bros are always there to back me up... good times all around... as always. Oh well there's always more oppotunities in the future for things to happen... again.. maybe it's a sign that i should be doing something else? probably... I really just wanna go home now and relax with my brother and friends... is that too much to ask for??? actually it really isn't... i dont have THAT much between me and thanksgiving... just a matter of working through it all... hehehe...

Anyways, this was just a little update in random happenings in my life... granted they aren't that specific... i feel i've already ranted to my friends about the specifics to justity writing about them here?? yeah whatever.... too much going on in my life to worry about the little things here and there.

YouTube at its best

So i woke up this morning a little later than usual because i knew i'd be somewhat sore from my workout yesterday... so i didn't have to attempt to go running in the morning (which has failed for the past few days). So i showered and turned on my laptop... did the normal morning routine... read my blog subscriptions from various sources, xanga, and blogger mostly, drank my starbucks, etc. Then i opened an email from an old friend who sent out this link on youtube to a video that is suppose to make us 'think'.

Video summary (if you dont wanna watch it):
Basically this video is story about how a christian stood up to challenge a teacher's atheist views of God. The teacher would ask the class at the end of his course that if anyone believed in God they stand up, and that if God existed a piece of chalk he dropped would not be shattered. For 20 years no one stood up and the chalk shattered until this one case where at the end of the course a christian guy stood up and the chalk did not shatter. The teacher stormed out, and the kid shared his christian experience with the rest of the class...

So the video definitely points out some key points about faith. As a christian i look at it as another great work in our world through God (though i don't know if it's true or not it's still a good potential example of how God can work in our world today). My opinion on it may be a little bias since i believe it... and i myself have faith in such things. But what got at me the most was when i scanned through the comments and saw an epic youtube battle occurring between avid christians and persistant non-believers. Post after post i read arguments on both sides that both bring up good points... but i remembered random snippets of Janas's lessons in sunday college group... about how arguing about such topics never ever get things done. Maybe for the side viewer who is not sure which side to pick, the word battles may swing them one way or another, but in the end any christian reading the comments or hardcore atheist/non-believer will stick to their side respectively.

Another excellent point is today's conception of heaven and hell. There were several comments on how average people today are brought up in a society that poses heaven and hell at different levels. Where people who are not christians want to go to heaven... and not hell.. yet they are not christian.. so what do they believe in? I don't know you tell me. My guess is they are under the impression that in the end some sort of judgment will be bestowed upon them and their fates will be decided... i dunno it's sorta messed up... but it's also sorta become a norm... that non-christians say they'd like to go to heaven, but don't believe in God. I guess it's a perfect opportunity for us christians to introduce or encourage them to find out why they want to go to heaven.

Reading the comment war between christians and non-christians got me annoyed at both sides... mainly for fighting... like i mentioned before fighting from separate sides of an issue goes no where except make each side bitter towards the other.

Then i saw a video response and it was a mockery of the original video basically... then at the end of the video they had the nerve to say that if God existed he would delete the video or something ridiculous like that... i can't find the video again for some reason. That kind of ignorance is so UGH.... and on top of that they spelled a buncha stuff wrong... i can just imagine a young kid who thinks they know everything... i know i'm being cruel.. but that kind of ignorance/immaturity gets on my nerves... I just shake my head now.
