Hello hello! It's been way too long i know! This week at work my boss is out till friday so i will try to write as much as possible to make up for not posting these past few weeks.
Post #1 - Life as it is. 3/9/09
As I'm sure you know my co-op job is very "easy" to say the least. I go to work everyday, do about an hour's hard work and i'm basically done for the day. Not that I don't have enough to do... but maybe it's because the work isn't challenging enough nor very interesting because it's so tedious... at first it was interesting though... then when i actually started going through the tedious process of about 100+ chemical agents it was like X_X. It's weird because whenever i talk to my boss about work, or what i'm going to do next, the topics interest me because i understand what we have to do next. Then again when the actual work comes around it's like blehhh. It's ok, at least i'm progessing on my project slowly. I do like killing time during work though, whether it be watching videos, reading news, or doing things on various other websites. And yes i get paid to do it all. Very rewarding eh? Plus on top of that I get a day off of work every 2 weeks (per pay period). Though i've already used my days off for going on KRUP, which stands for Katrina Relief Urban Plunge. I'll update more on that in another post.
Beyond work is my normal weekly schedule. Mondays i have IV and then Dance practice till late (which is now extending to more and more days of the week can't wait till it's over... but i also can't wait to perform, it's gonna be so awesome!... and quite feminen/cute... lol!), Tuesdays i have clan practice or go out, Wednesdays i usually go out, Thursdays i have Cornerstone SG, Fridays - Sundays i usually have something planned, whether it be going out with friends i don't usually see or some special event, hockey or w/e... sometimes there's shopping for groceries in there and Church on Sunday... and much needed excess sleep!
So generally there isn't too much stress in my life these days. I did get a parking ticket the other week and that made me very sad. I had hoped i wasn't going to get any ticket while in boston with my car. I guess i should be happy that it wasn't towed away! =X Oh well, I paid for the ticket and i will (hopefully) never get another ticket! Another sad thing that's happened in my life is that my BOSE earbuds are dying... most likely due to mis proper storing on my part... (I'd just sorta stuff them in pockets or w/e) I guess the internal wiring got bent the wrong way which doesn't really make too much sense... I've only had these headphones since Thanksgiving!!! =( I guess i'll have to venture to Natick Mall one day and buy a new pair and treat them better! haha. I'm sure there are other random splurts in my life but you know how it is... you can only write about so much and be on topic.
I plan to have at least 2 more posts after this one this week...
Thanks for reading,

The customer is always FAIL
Work is boring to put it plainly. I surf the internet most of the day and read random news articles and forums. Blah blah blah... i recently stumbled upon an amazingly awesome yet depressing website...
www.notalwaysright.com
One of the best sites to kill time! Basically it's a website dedicated to displaying the "stupidity", the "ignorance", and the plain non-sense that people encounter in their lives. I'm sure we've all had these moments, but some of these dialog rolls are just too ridiculous! Reading through some just have me cracking up at my computer and thankfully there's no one around me to wonder what i'm laughing at haha. If you haven't already gone to the website here's some of my favorites among many others (i've gone through like 50 pages of this stuff so many are good)...

Me: “Hi, how can I help you?”
Customer: “I need to return this d*** camera.”
Me: “Sure, was it not working?”
Customer: “I just don’t want it, okay?”
Me: “Okay. Have you opened the box yet?”
Customer: “Why does that matter?”
Me: “Well, as the sticker on the box says, if the box is opened and you return it, I have to charge you a restocking fee.”
Customer: “Oh. No… no, it hasn’t been opened.”
(I look and the box has been clearly opened, with a torn seal.)
Me: “Uh… are you sure it hasn’t been opened?”
Customer: ”LOOK! ARE YOU CALLING ME A F***ING LIAR? Where is your manager? I spend hundreds of thousands of dollars here and this is how I’m treated?!”
Me: “Ma’am, if you just–”
Customer: “THESE PEOPLE CALL CUSTOMERS LIARS! DON’T SHOP HERE!”
Me: “Ma’am, I believe you! I will return it!”
Customer: “That’s right you will!”
Me: “Can I see your receipt?”
Customer: “It’s in the box.”

(At our library, the computers are all self-sign up. All you have to do is type in your name and library card number. This is clearly posted on the side of the monitor. In walks a young woman and her boyfriend.)
Young woman: “Can you help me with this?”
Me: “What’s the problem?”
Young woman: “I don’t know what to do.”
Me: “The instructions are on the side of the monitor.”
Young woman: “But why can’t you tell me how to do it?”
Me: “Because it’s SELF-SIGN UP.”
Young woman: “But I need help!”
Me: “All you have to do is type in your name and library card number.”
Young woman: “But do I have to read the screen?”
Me: *confused* “Of… course. The screen tells you when to type in your information. You have to read the screen.”
Young woman: “BUT I DIDN’T COME INTO THE LIBRARY TO READ!”
Young woman’s boyfriend: *turns abruptly and walks out the door*

Me: “Welcome sir, did you get…”
(I look in his cart and see that it’s mostly filled with identical Spongebob DVDs.)
Me: “… everything?”
Man: “I guess so.”
Boy: “MORE SPONGEBOB! SPONGEBOB! SPONGEBOB!”
Man: “Alright, let’s go get some more.”
(About 5 minutes later he comes back, with more Spongebob DVDs… the same ones, to be exact.)
Man: “Alright, I think this is enough.”
(I ring him up, and the total comes to about $550.00 USD.)
Me: *whispering* “Uhh, sir… these are mostly the same thing.”
Man: “Oh, don’t worry about it. I hate my life anyway.”

(I’ve just spent about 10 minutes answering fairly standard questions from a customer about an iPod. Then, they asked this one…)
Customer: “Oh, before you leave I have one more question!”
Me: “Sure, what can I help you with?”
Customer: “Will the iPod get heavier if I put more songs on it?”
Me: “No…?”
(I was so dumbfounded I didn’t realize how stupid the question actually was until 10 minutes later.)
5
Me: “Hello, technical support, how can I help?”
Customer: “I don’t know what’s wrong with my computer. Can you tell me?”
Me: “Well… can you explain what’s wrong?”
Customer: “Your job is to tell me what’s wrong.”
Me: “Yes, but unless you help me I can’t tell you what is wrong.”
Customer: “Why? Can’t you guess what’s wrong?”
(I have decided a this point whatever is wrong will be something stupid.)
Me: “Okay, maybe you can’t turn your computer on because it hasn’t got any power.”
Customer: *angrily* “DO YOU THINK I’M STUPID?”
(Suddenly, the customer calms down.)
Customer: “Sorry, you were wrong. It’s plugged in and the light is green. Can you guess what’s wrong? It’s still black on the screen.”
Me: “Well, is your screen on?”
Customer: “Yes, I just said it was. It’s just black!”
Me: “Right click.”
Customer: “Hey, it worked… oh, it was a screensaver. Couldn’t you have guessed it was that at the start?”
Me: *thud thud thud*
Customer: “What was that?”
Me: “Guess.”

Work update...
Hello hello! so i'm taking a break from work to update a little for you... let's start with work in the first place!
So a few weeks into the job and it's almost the same, I have work to do, but it's tedious and time consuming. I'm closing in on the finish of a small project and plan on moving onto learning more complex things. The environment is very chill, even though i work IN a lab which means i can't snack or drink anything while at my workstation, instead i have to go next door (literally 4 feet away) and eat there or drink there. The other interns seem to have their hands full of things to do... or do they? Whenever i go into the office where the other interns are they are playing online flash games or reading something nonwork related... or if they are reading something work related it's for the 10354th time reading it hahahaha... I guess they do some things here and there... i think they'll be working harder soon, so far they feel that i'm the only one doing work haha... which is true in a way... Anyways I got paid last week and it's nice to see my account balance go UP for once haha... I've been writing checks left and right for rent or church retreats or missions trips recently and it's been just a downward slope for my checking account hehe. All in all though work is almost a joke at some points... the other interns and i joke around alot with this one lady that works with us in the office... she's... weird to put it bluntly... but we also think she snitched on us about playing flash games and napping in the morning hahaha, which i suppose we shouldn't do anyways xDDDD
Life outside coop is very fulfilling... Mondays i have InterVarsity and Dance practice for celebrasian (till midnight Dx), Tuesdays i'm usually free and relax, go out and hang with friends or just bum out in my room playing video games with my COD4 clan, usually there's a weekly practice at 9 pm for my team so it works out hehe, Wednesdays are almost the same as Tuesdays where my plans vary from week to week, whether it be going out with friends or staying in relaxing, like tonight (wednesday) i'm going out to Super 88 yum yum =], Thursdays i have Cornerstone smallgroup and usually fellowship after by... going to 88 or out to eat somewhere... love them hahaha, Fridays ... well anything can happen on Fridays... weekends are so nice on coop, I feel very free whenever the weekend comes around. Not having to worry about homework or tests enables me to go out whenever i want and stay out to a reasonable time... i usually wanna be back home before midnight so i get 6 hours of sleep... hehe.
I registered for classes this morning for summer session II, at a glance it seems like it's going to be intense! I have classes (2) from 8 AM till 1130 AM then i have labs every other day from 12 - 3 pm... crazy stuff imo... but it may not be as bad as it sounds... i hope hehe.
Being on coop has it's ups and downs... right now i'm thinking that i dont see many of my friends as often as i want to. This could be contributed to the fact that i live off campus, but at the same time i'm getting to know alot of new people which is plus... so i suppose it's just a matter of time management between friends and myself.
I have alot of exciting things for me in the next few months... hopefully you'll get a taste of it on my blog... or in person when i talk to you! =]

Life and Co-op
Hello hello! I've decided to get ready for bed a little earlier than normal JUST to write this blog post. I missed writing about random stuff and to be honest i just haven't had the time... not to say that blogging is a chore, but when i have time i like to relax in other ways.
So co-op started on January 12th, 1 week after i thought it would have started... i got an extra "week" of vacation which was merely me getting ready to drive up to boston with my car and then proceed to move my stuff in and get settled... surprisingly it went fairly well considering my stuff was scattered in about 4-5 different places... and i still have a couple small things i have yet to retrieve! hehe. Anyways... co-op... was mad boring all last week... did nothing... but still got paid hehee so the only down side was that it was boring... i think things are going to start pick up soon... i hope... otherwise it's all your parent's tax money going to me! to be bored... read books and news articles all day! ahhahaha =]] But yeah it's a pretty old place... old people... so the pace is slow... or i like to think of it as going at my own pace hehe.... If you don't know already I'm working for the US Army! I'm doing research for them... and i'll keep it at that for security reasons... but i'm pretty sure i can tell people since it's sorta like general research... nothing above a Grade 3 clearance level =P Anyways working life is different... i wake up at 6 am and get to work around 730... and leave at around 4 pm or earlier... then i come home... relax and play some games usually... and depending on the day i go out to NEU or various other locations to chill with peeps or if i have other obligations... etc etc... other than that... i wanna hang out with some more people that i haven't seen in awhile... but technicalities are always present... nevertheless i'll see them eventually and be very happy =)
My apartment... OWNS as usually... i have my own room and my suitemates share a room... granted it's not the biggest room in world... it's still mine.... my privacy or lack there of... and i can dirty it all i want since i'm living in it hahaha.... cooking is a slight issue... i've been pretty lazy recently, because work tires me and i dont wanna cook when i come home... but i did buy a bunch of cooking stuff... and i've even prepared some meats and stuff! lol.... also i'm missing some special sauces that people are holding for me... gotta get those back...
There's alot going on in my life right now... NOT just work surprisingly... i'm getting more involved in random things... it's all a jumble right now and i'll take it all in as it comes around... wow my fingers are really cold from typing.... grrrr prolly since i washed dishes earlier... stupid soap xDD
Anyways this weekend i'm going to an IV retreat... that's a huge thing to look forward too!!! i'm very excited... especially to see everyone i met last time and catch up with them etc =)
Ok I'll try to update at work when i get my own computer station!!! I know for a fact i can get to blogger.com... it's not blocked by the government firewalll.... and some how... facebook isn't either...!?!? looooool mega fail!! but w/e i dont mind =P

She needs to be...
Hmm did you notice the new layout? I like it, do you? Anyways one quirk about it is that there's no date on my posts! oh no! So i'll put the date for you and me for future sakes... or i'll prolly end up changing the layout to have the date displayed. Now onto the post...
January 4th, 2008
I was asked recently by someone what were the top 5 traits i looked for in a potential significant other and at first i thought "oh that can't be too hard" and i started to think, but when it comes down to it there are so many things that one would want in a significant other! However to me? I think i came up with 5 that i would rate as some of my top traits. These traits are all looking at the personality mind you, looks are all based on attractiveness for me, and well... maybe that'll be a different post topic. Hehe.
1. Food tastes - As simple as it sounds food is a very important factor. It's what brings two people together in an environment where you two are sharing in something that you BOTH enjoy. If she doesn't like what i like in food categories then how boring would that be? I know it works out for people where one person may be a vegetarian and the other not caring, but it always brings in that tension or disagreement gap and if you have meals with your significant other as often as you should, things will get grindy at one point or another. Food is what we all need and for me it's what i indulge in. I enjoy my food to its fullest and i, as silly as it sounds, have massive cravings for certain types of food. Especially when i'm college, i have lots of choices if i went out to eat! Food tastes dont have to be EXACTLY the same, but i mean it's not that hard to agree on a majority of my "liked" food tastes... right? With agreeing food tastes she also has to be open-minded about food! Being adventurous with your food is something that is hard to find with people, and granted i always have my "regular" food choices, i like to have someone else to go out and "try" something new, since for both of people it's a new thing to explore and that will be an area in your lives that will always grow! =]
2. Independent - Girls who are independent take care of themselves. No doubt in that. But wait... so doesn't that mean she doesn't need YOU in her life? On the surface yes... let's take a look deeper... Being independent entails that your life is in your control or somewhat in your control. You know what needs to be done and you know when it needs to be done by! If you need to find out something you do just that! No sitting around and thinking that the answer will come walking by. Essentially you can take care of yourself with mostly no help, this includes having a job and sustaining yourself, by yourself! Not saying that they're a loner, social life is a totally different aspect! Now having an independent girl is important because as an independent girl she takes care of everything in her life and if there's something wrong with it she tries to fix it, she cherishes what she has since she's earned it in her own way, or she's put effort into making it what it is. Thus having a relationship in her life she will take care of it and cherish it for what a relationship should be (ideally). Granted there's no one that's completely independent, but when you get to know someone you can always sense some sort of independence in them or lack there of.
3. Knows what she wants - When you think of this you may say "that goes hand in hand with an independent girl... right?" Well I think there's room to say that a girl could be independent but she also might not know what she wants in life. She knows how to take care of herself, but when it comes down to decisions to make she either doesn't care enough or seeks advice for the right direction and whatever sounds nice she goes with! This is all very specific and probably extreme since almost everyone knows what they want in some form or another, but not everyone expresses it. In a relationship it's very important that both people rely on each other for support! Thus when it comes down to it when, say for example, the guy asks the girl what she wants to eat, she should have some sort of idea in her mind, and not answer with a weak "whatever you wanna eat". I know it happens in all relationships, but say if the girl has no say in what goes on, then that's just really pointless! So maybe a better way of explaining this is to change "knows what she wants" to "headstrong" on a very light level because if she's too headstrong... then she becomes too controlling? maybe... haha. Hopefully you get the general idea of this trait... somewhere between the two extremes...? - Fail!
4. Comfortable with herself - When i say this i mean it in the sense of expressing herself well enough that she doesn't have to think twice about whatever. This is probably almost impossible to have in any person, but hey we can always try right? haha. One aspect about this is music! Music is a very big part of me. Sharing similar music tastes is always a plus! Then when it comes down to it, dancing! I definitely want someone i can dance with, as cheesy as it sounds. But hey! I like dancing! and if she's comfortable with herself she will too! Hehe. Then furthermore if she's comfortable with herself she won't really have a hard time expressing herself to me and what she needs/wants. (See it ties into a headstrong girl! sorta. haha)
5. Finally - Chemistry/Thinking frequency - Probably the most important trait among many others, but having chemistry covers alot of other ideal traits i suppose. I think you know what chemistry is and i dont really have anything specific to go into with it. Though the same "thinking frequency" is key for many reasons. To name one, sense of humor, if two people in a relationship aren't on the same thinking frequency they won't really think each other's nick nacks are funny, and how boring is that? Being able to understand each other is very important to me and yeah you might say "well no DUH"... but there are always those few relationships that fail in this department. I think it's a little obvious as to why it would be important to me or anybody.
Ok so these 5 traits are totally not my top 5 per say. There's no way to put words to what I look for in a girl, when i meet her and get to know her i'll just know! right? right. So yet another epic fail for this post since it's all very idealistic haha. But it's definitely something i look for, but seeing as i'm a very flexible guy these traits mean almost nothing as long as she's just a little of each of them... or maybe not at all! hahaha. OR! Maybe it's that these few traits are what i notice in girls and when i do notice them.. they ring in my mind as "Oooo she's a catch!" and from there... anything can happen.
I hope you enjoyed reading even though it was as random and un orthodox as i didn't want it to be.
Thanks for reading,

Jumbled...
Hmm I feel i should try to have some organization for this post... or maybe i'll write separate posts for what i wanna write... hmmm...
So it's now 2009 and 2008 was here then gone in a blink of an eye.
Time definitely flies, it feels like just yesterday it was January 2008 and i was starting my second semester of college. Now i'm ending my 3rd semester and working for half a year... the start of what i like to think as the 3 year meat of my undergraduate education... coop and school for the next 3 years! then a nice breading at the end with a regular year of academics to finish it off. Anyways I'll try to recap some major things that happened this past 2008?... Here goes...

Anyways I'll try to recap some major things that happened this past 2008?... Here goes...
- I don't think i set a new year's resolution last year... soo fail on that note haha...
- I've learned not to get emotionally involved... with anyone except for the reason of building a stronger friendship... not for liking reasons though (maybe...??)! I don't know if this is a bad thing since it sorta makes me hesitant on whether or not i want to get emotionally involved with someone... both with friends and potential significant others! but then it also protects me from worrying about relationships/friendships more than i need to... My fall 08 semester was very busy and i think that's when my distant self started to develop... granted i met a tonn of new people and i'm very thankful for that... but even still! I DID get emotionally involved... and slowly stopped myself... see? it seems like a bad thing in my mind since it's like i'm missing out on opportunities or whatever... So it's almost as if i'm conflicted with it all... do i be transparent to others? or be cautious about what i say to others... In my mind i think i want to be transparent to others (and when i say transparent i mean like no fake personalities that i show to others or not caring what i say around people or w/e...)... being transparent allows for more open relationships which is always a plus! OK actually thinking about it... i wasn't very conservative with my relationships... and in fact i WAS transparent... BUT there were my exceptions... that i almost wish i acted differently.... soo my year consisted of relationships that i was both transparent and conservative with... I guess it all comes down to what i want to come out of the relationship/friendship... Cause to be honest i think i'm a very open person... it's just a matter of asking! Initially i'm not going to blabber my mouth around, but when it comes down to it... my 1 on 1 interaction with people is on a very personal level. I love 1 on 1 interaction... it allows for much much more significant conversation to occur! Of course i enjoy group environments though... but depending on the group of people i can sometimes be one of the quiet - er ones..? and i dont really observe myself too often so i don't know hahaha. uhhh ok wow i think i totally contradicted myself... sooo i suppose the first half of this paragraph about not getting emotionally involved is more directed towards girls i like to put it plainly. But it definitely does not mean i can't have conversation with them... it's more of an internal battle for my mind... which makes me lean towards friendzone with many people. Again... not the worst thing in the world to be part of my life (laballed as friendzone to potential significant others)... I've almost gotten use to it... like an expectation to be put into the friendzone... sooo when it doesn't end up that way... it'll be a surprise! and thus be more signficant and exciting for me! hehehe but also friendzone also is like an investment into relationships! cause in the future things change... and anything can happen then =) aka get me the efff out of friendzone! So cutting off emotional attachment in a relationship automatically makes me direct the relationship towards friendzone... and i think it happens without my even knowing... since i'm not on the other end observing myself i dont know what kind of vibes i give off! lol. But friendzone isn't such a bad thing right?... like i said things could be worse...
- In continuation to the last tangent bullet... my label has definitely been confirmed in many different instances that I'm merely a "Good guy" or a "Good friend"... or to generalize... the typical "nice guy"? I've been told with people that i talk to that they feel like they've known me for forever once we get to know each other... i find it amazing how things can end up that way... but it's just how i am!... i'd like to think that people feel confortable talking to/hanging out with me... and i definitely get that vibe... but again... i'm only me and have no judgement on myself. ANYWAYS i'm talking about myself too much...
- So in a nut shell... 2008 was:
- I met alot of new people, built up many of my relationships/friendships, made money (summer ebay), witnessed a family friend survive a STROKE (huge miracle, thank God!), witnessed my uncle survive through a brain tumor/cancer (thank God again!), did decent in school (but of course not up to my mom's standard, but to mine i did good), learned alot about my faith (the handful of retreats helped with this alot).
