So maybe not the LAST entry... I'm sure i'll find time to randomly post something...
I decided to spend this weekend relaxing before turtling down in the library to do school work or studying. So now it's over (Sunday = working day duh!) and the condition i'm in right now? I really want to kick this cough... it's weird... i'm fine during the day but when nights come i start coughing... maybe it's the night dry air or cold air... but i dont like it one bit! I find that tea helps... but it's rare that i actually get some good tea to sooth my throat... i kinda wanna go to a TeaLuxe! xD
I'm pretty sore right now... I went out to powderBUFF earlier today... which is a guy variation of powderpuff football... but it's just... with guys? lol it was a fun time but i'm really beat up by it... my foot got messed up and a ton of random muscles are gonna be in pain when i wake up tomorrow i'm sure. Anyways, met a bunch of cool guys from BC, i think they were freshmen, but w/e! always good to get a new set of brothers to chill with. But yeah we got totally destroyed by the upper classmen guys and the young adult teams... but we didn't too bad for just assembling the team just today at the field lol... good times all around though. On a random side note I'm glad that NEU beat BC at hockey earlier tonight... what an intense first home game!! woo! Northeastern hockey is like the only thing (sports wise) to be proud of here lol... at least for me.
Don't you hate when you hear a song that you like... you know it's catchy and all.. then you try to find it... but then you can't!!??! ARG I HATE THAT!... yeah it happened to me last week... I looked up different parts of lyrics and no dice! =( Granted i've only heard 1 or 2 lines of the song... you'd think that would be enough.... Thankfully I found one of the songs i was looking for... was a song named "Ready to Roll" by Jet Black Stare...they're a new band in 2008 and i like how they sound... their first album "In this Life" reminds me of Skillet's Comatose album but on centered around different... more life issues i guess.... Though the song that caught me interested in them was a song about driving fast in your car (really catchy btw)... their other songs are quite different hahaha!
This post is kinda random i'm sure... it's 330 right now and i need rest... though my roommie fell asleep with the TV on... i guess i'll just turn it off myself hahaha xD... but yeah it's not much for a post that will carry over for the next 3 weeks... but who am i kidding... there's like a 78.52 chance i'll post again on how things are goin with my studies and what not...
Recently I've been feeling very detached from some people in my life... maybe it's that i'm just busy with school work and my "normal" hangout friends.... but deep down i feel it's not that... I just feel as if i'm slowly losing some people in my life that i really dont want to?? i dunno there are some good people around and it's sad to have known someone for awhile then kinda detach from them... only to probably re-establish connection with them... but that seems like not enough sometimes... maybe my expectations are too high for my friendships/relationships... but heck.. maybe things will change when i dont expect it the most right...?
I think just the general loss of connection with someone (when unexpected) is disappointing to me.
Life goes on.....

Columbus day - get away!
So I'm home... the trip back from boston south station to chinatown NYC took 7 hours!!! woooo yay for crowded holiday weekends!... i love how people think the chinatown (fungwah or luckystar) bus is a "fast way" to get to NYC... like there's a standard to them... for "luxury" trips... and when there's the slightest traffic jam they get pissed!... or when the driver made a pit stop at a Mcdonalds... people cursed him off since they were late to a concert... or some dinner... QQ more plz.
anyways to say the least not much has changed for the month or so that i've been at school... guess that's a good thing... well that's a lie... on the surface things haven't changed... i still have my comfy room and comfy bed with my desk and swirly chair xD! I still love going out with my parents to dinner/lunch and enjoying meals with them... and after there's ALWAYS a shopping session... whether it be for clothes (today i got 2 random sport shirts... that were on sale OF COURSE =D) or food (i got tons of food and drinks to bring back up to boston!) they never cease to smother me as much as possible to make sure i'm staying healthy and happy... though it all comes with the price of doing well in school and getting a job and all that stressful stuff... and that's their way of showing me they really love me... ! =X
School wise i feel my academics aren't where i want them to be right now... I think in a couple weeks though i'll start getting on the right track... i definitely hope it's not too late to make up some mistakes... Not that i've been slacking... no i've been spending ample time in the library and around campus working my butt off! I think i've been just concentrating in the wrong areas of academics... is that even possible?! like the stuff that's worth more i dont put as much effort into as the not so important assignments... errr wow why am i doing that?!?! oh right cause the ones that are worth more are harder to learn! hahaha...
On the other hand co-op is coming up soon and it has just dawned upon me that time is SUCH an issue nowadays... I wanna try to find out where i'm living ASAP... but at the sametime i need to know where i'm working this spring... but first i need to rank my jobs... then wait for an interview.. then wait for a response... THEN i'll know and then i can secure a housing situation... BUT i have to do all this within a month's time!? I just hope that NEU won't take all my money away if i'm past the deadline to pull out... and the place i'm living is "too close" to NEU to justify a pull out... bah! whatever...
I'm looking into 3 main companies right now.... 2 in the cambridge area and 1 in woburn... there's a few companies further out... near weymouth and worchester... but then i'd have to get a place further out i would think... and that would be hassle.... then there's the option of workin in NJ... good opportunities here too... but i dont wanna be stuck in NJ with no one around really... that'd be boring ya know??? /sighhhh ... At least i think i'll be able to get a job... i'm looking at nano-tech jobs right now... just reading job descriptions gets me hyped for it =D!
I've been wanting to get into 3D projects... making cool objects n stuff... I got this program called Cinema4D.... supposed to be really simple and really easy to make cool things... but just gotta spend the time to go through tutorials and stuff.... i really wish i had the time...

A turn in music taste...
We are young
We are far
Born in this world as it all falls apart
We are strong
We don't belong
Born in this world as it all falls apart...
Young - Hollywood Undead
Hip-hop + rock... i dont think you can go wrong with these guys... lyrics are OK... a few ridiculous party themes in their songs... but all their songs have great flow to them... if you can look past the occasional cursing (though excessive in 1 or 2 songs) and the occasional immature lyrics (again in 1 or 2 songs) most of their album Swan Songs are great to listen to... to get pumped for something or whatever...
Hold that thought actually.... this song "Young" is prolly one of the only appropriate songs... lol... I would classify half of their other songs pretty party hard songs! which isn't bad... depends on your music taste... and the other half are of various topics... hard to explain.
So if you're looking for a cool change in your music collection check these guys out, Hollywood Undead... they're from California so they have to be chill right?

19 Years Old... and then some.
Well my birthday's over... it's been an awesome past 29 hours... and i say the last 29 because i celebrated my birthday on friday night too! =]
Actually... i'll try to cut through as much fluff as possible and get down to what's been on my mind recently... There aren't many people that read this in the first place... especially with the new facebook hiding the link to this... but i still do appreciate those who come along once in awhile to read.
*Start Fluff*
Sooo my friday night was one of the highlights of my birthday weekend. 5 of us (3 girls, 2 guys) went out to a dance party somewhere in cambridge. We chilled out in my apartment before going.... that was fun to say the least... at the dance party there was plenty of dancing to go around... i danced with a handful of random girls of varied... attractiveness... and yes i'd say from the scale of 1-10... i danced with both extremes... we were all pretty exhausted... but still ended up coming back to my apartment to chill.... which we just lounged around and talked till like 4 am... it was a good time all around, definitely one of the more memorable birthday things i've done... but hey you'll never know what's in store for the future....?
Anyways... i didn't get much sleep... maybe 6 hours before i woke up, showered, and was treated to some birthday DotA... very appreciative of that... the guys i play along side with are always give me laughs. After a couple games, i went out to Sushi for lunch... dunno if it was the BEST food i should have eaten after what i did the night before.... on top of that... my legs/quads were/are pretty sore right now hahaha... then just chilled around with friends till dinner came around where we tried to get as many people that i thought would come out to my birthday dinner... but that sorta failed in some areas... nevertheless a handful of us were going to go to Chinatown for dinner... but someone came up with the wonderful suggestion of going to Super 88... like i haven't been there too many times since i've been in boston... lol... either way the super 88 food court is amazing... i love Korean food... good times all around... then after we got back to NEU we watched a movie to end my birthday!... after the previous night i definitely needed a more relaxed birthday lol
OK! onto my random thoughts that have been all over the place the past couple days...
*End Fluff*
As a single 19 year old, in college, and out of a relationship for awhile now... there is a certain mindset that takes over when he is pursuing a girl... As with almost every other person, boy or girl, in a similar situation or not, liking someone is a poison. The poison that blinds that person from seeing anything negative there may be in the person they like. This is all a talk around the inevitable topic of infatuation! Man it's hard to talk around it. So i suppose my point is that i HATE infatuation... because in most cases... infatuation can be good or bad, you never really know! The good being that you are more attracted to the person you like on many different levels. They can be any combination of Physical Beauty, Personality Connection, or you just like being around that person for whatever reason you choose! You like talking to them, seeing them, and all that cheesy jazz. Then you either stay in that infatuation... or you're snapped back into reality by yourself or some other means... That brings up where infatuation can be bad... as i mentioned before it blinds you!!~ those little things that would usually turn you "off" in the significant other become OK... Not saying that you're picky... we all our standards in someone we're pursuing... but there's a limit where some trait in someone else can cross the line and just totally break apart the foundation of what makes us, us!
Foundations of ethics and moralities are the two biggest and probably the only two players of the personality game between two people... people have certain ethics that others either agree with, are neutral with, or just totally disagree with... same goes with morales... we build up these two things to our own standards... whether it be from our parents teaching us or from our own life experiences... but when infatuation comes into play... alot of the time these foundations get thrown out the window.... sure we all love the way our hearts skip a beat when we see a certain person... i dunno if it's infatuation.. maybe it's how the beginning of love for someone begins... but at this point in our lives... early in our college careers... is it really worth chasing after that pretty girl you see everyday or every other week? is it really worth chasing after what makes us feel good inside?? Well of course it is!!!! hahahaha.... sadly... it's what drives a lot of us... in all our busy lives... what brings us looking forward to the next day?? definitely not the test that's coming up in our mathematics class.... nor the lab write up that's due at 6pm the next day... No... it's the pursuit of something more out of our daily routines... whether it be the infatuation or the real thing of pursuing... something more real??? i really dunno... i'm really tired right now... so maybe i'm just talking jibberish...
So some closing thoughts....
Thanks again!

- I'm too young to be really think about such relationships... though that doesn't mean i can get to know potential future significant others... and whatever happens is just going with the flow...
- As cliche as it may sound to some... i like the good girls... whatever you want to consider a good girl... my standards are probably different for everyone... but i think you can get the jist of things...
- To add on top of #2... i like a girl who isn't too too shy... i like the type that opens up to you when they trust you... not hide stuff or are too afraid to speak up... headstrong girls are always a plus... though many girls probably don't think they're the "headstrong" type... but then again it's all in my retrospect.
- uhhhh man it's 2:30 am... i've been writing this post for awhile now... on and off through aim... so my thoughts MIGHT be all over the place... and for that i'm very sorry... but i do thank you for reading!

September!
My bday month is always great... it signifies the start of a new school year, new experiences, new everything!
School's been interesting so far, i've had a ton of breaks (between and after class) that i've been spending catching up with old friends from all over, though i KNOW those breaks will soon be filled with library hours and hw stuff.... I haven't had much hw for the first few days, though there are a few things due next week, guess i'm starting the year with a little procrastination! hehehe. I've been also walking around WAY too much... my feet are usually sore by the end of the day, not to mention i'm also going to the gym every few days to add ontop of the aches i experiences, but it's nothing compared to sitting through lectures with TERRORBAD professors...
It's interesting how i've seen certain people more so than others... it's good for the people i'm seeing more often, but it also saddens me that i don't get to see other friends. But overall things haven't changed too much. I'm meeting a buncha new kiddies that are pretty cool, though not many freshies hehe. I think this semester's going to be very rewarding for me in many ways, except for maybe the school part.... then again in the beginning of everything there's a "high", and it may be hard to keep that high state of mind till the end... my optimistic-ness is fairly high these days though, i love it. My bed is still ridiculously comfortable, which makes my nights when i lay down for sleep or just to rest.
Well this has been a really quick post, i may add some more things later... but i gotta get to class right now... i only have 1 class on friday!! woot and it's at 1145... let's just say i had an amazing sleep.
Thanks for reading,

They're the one...
Through my years of living i think that one of the most amazing things that I've witnessed is the relationship that is the marriage of my parents. What makes it so amazing? Well let's just say I've been there for the countless fights along with the happy giddy times where they just make each other laugh to the point of out-of-breath-ness. The fights were usually fierce. My parents are not like the 'typical' Chinese marriage. For example, my mom is the dominant one, loud mouthed, loves to engage in conflict/debate and on the other hand my dad is the somewhat passive type (but has that inner tiger if irritated) and is patient when it comes to conflicts. So when it comes down to intense fighting they both are usually at each other's necks... since my dad runs out of patience and the tiger comes out... and then my mom's just constantly on fire. I am glad to say though that these types of fights have minimized a huge amount over the years... almost to none at all... that's the kind of development and dedication i admire. You know how they say that fighting helps a marriage grow and such? Well i definitely believe that now...
The ability to constantly make each other laugh and spend time with each other without getting tired of it is also a huge thing to admire. Though as simple as it sounds, staying with one person for a long time, living with them, dealing with them, etc etc... it really isn't that simple. But when you look at the "stereotypical" love bird relationship these days I'm sure somewhere along the way they say in their minds or to each other that they can live with their significant other... forever! they make it seem simple!... but then you see it around every corner... something goes sour and forever turns into 3 months and 5 days... or maybe 4 years 5 months and 16 days... you get the point. I'm not saying that all marriages are happily ever after till the end... cause obviously with today's society we can see that that is not the case at all! And that's dealing with both relationships (bf/gf) and marriages. I'm sure there's some statistic out there that says how many married couples are genuinely happy with their current state... and how many are not at all, but they still stick through it... it's the ones who are happy and still together though that we should look at and strive for. Yeah i know how unrealistic that sounds... but ideally speaking... it's what we all want i'm sure.
I guess it's a little far into the future to think about... marriage and all... but a lot of the time the time period that it takes to get to know someone is a good indication of where the relationship is going (if it's meant to become a relationship). I'm also very wrong in the respect that not all relationships are the same, but from my perspective it's one way that i see how things go for relationships. In a way i'm being a huge idealist here, but in a broad sense, i'd say that what my parents have now is what i'd aim for in the future. Not exactly like my parent's relationship, as they are not perfect in every way, but more along the lines of just being happy with a future significant other for (ideally) the rest of our lives... wow i must sound really... hopeful (there's prolly a better word for that)... lol
Thus as a young male in today's fun filled world i can say that i foolishly seek that one significant other who, as they say it, "completes me". Of course I encounter, on countless accounts, personalities that i feel i have "chemistry" with but most of the time it's just a nice personality i'm dealing with... nothing more. (there are just too many factors to think about!) I look forward to the day however where i can say "she's the one" to myself. I know in the end God will bring me to the right one though... so i guess i really have nothing to think about deeply... the time will come! =]
